Reaching Out

The purpose of the missions ministry is to help our church implement "Knowing Christ and Making Him Known" by supporting worldwide missions and encouraging our congregation to be involved in sending missionaries to the field, and in being sent.

We also manage prayer and financial support for our missionaries and communicate their work to the church. The Missions Team meets once a month, usually on a Monday evening, in the church office, from 7 to 9 p.m.  We discuss how we can encourage a missions mindset in our church and brainstorm how we can support our current missionaries and pray for them.  If you'd like to join us, call Greg Yancey, Steve Savig, Ann Everitt or Miriam Schoenig.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES OUTSIDE OUR CHURCH

Perhaps your heart aches for the homeless.  Or the developmentally challenged, or the hurting or the dying.  Our church doesn't specifically have programs for all groups of people but can come alongside those who do.  The body of Christ is much larger than our church and there are others who have thriving ministries in areas we lack.  Rather than reinvent what they are doing, let's join them!

Click on "read more" to learn of other opportunities presented to our body.

Homelessness Prevention Initiative
Did you know it usually takes less than $250 to help a local family weather a financial storm so they can keep their home?  Every $1 spent on prevention saves $20 in homelessness services!  HPI is looking for volunteers and donors.  Read more on their website.
