Joe and Shawna reach CSU students though weekly worship, Bible studies, leadership training, and missions projects. After attending a weekly meeting for the first time, a student told the team, "This was awesome! Are they all like this?" Two years after they were married in 1993, they joined staff with Campus Crusade. From 1995 to 1998, they worked at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. They spent 1998-99 in Zaragoza, Spain, then came back to CSU! It’s a privilege to have them in fellowship with us as they serve college students on the CSU campus.August 2010 Joe writes, "Hope your summer is great! We are home from a memorable summer in Vail spent alongside 36 students and 12 staff. June was filled with the Gore Creek in Vail flooding. The Fire Chief called to say thanks for the project moving over 2,000 sandbags. Many students made it into the local paper alongside the Mayor of Vail during the annual trail cleanup as our group doubled their usual efforts. I woke up this morning to read in our local Fort Collins paper a story of 30 CSU CCC students serving Homeless Gear during the month of June. We are excited to mobilize a generation of students to impact their communities as their lives overflow with the love of Christ. "We fire up the semester here next week. Pray alongside us and our team of 15 for the Leadership Student Overnight, Frosh Dinner, Freshman Meeting, Pizza Feed and the first weekly meeting. We are grateful for your partnership with us!"
