What's a House Church? It's the way we believe God is calling us to "do church". It's a mid-sized group of people gathering in a house for a meal, worship, to develop relationships, use their gifts, and reach out. We are believing God is calling us to have the best of both world's and a hybrid church if you will. The intimacy, informality, and flexibility of gathering in a home and the broader resources of church as we know it. Each House Church is a unique blend of what we call IN-OUT-UP. "IN" - A PLACE TO CONNECT - We desire that House Church will be a place to build and deepen relationships with 25-50 others over a meal in the comfort of a home, developing a deep sense of community or 'tribe' over time. "UP" - A PLACE TO WORSHIP - It is remarkable when a mid-sized group gets together to turn their face up toward Christ through song, scripture, prayer and story. House Church is intended to be a safe place to worship God that can be more relational in tone and flavor than "big church" but not as intimate and intimidating as a small group. "OUT" - A PLACE TO SERVE - House Church is a place to relationally connect people who are not a part of a church. It also is a place to use our gifts as we care for one another. House Churches are encouraged to pay attention to needs in our towns and other parts of the world and mobilize to meet those needs. HOW OFTEN - Once a month. WHO - Anyone and everyone. All ages are invited. This is a place to mix with multiple generations.
